Basic tips are to clarify your hair every so often and use gels. Clarify your hair using approx 1/4 C apple cider vinegar mixed with about 2 large cupfuls of plain water. Mix together and pour over your hair before you shampoo. This helps strip product build up off your hair or you can use tea tree or jojoba oil shampoos. Also a can of (any) beer as final rinse works great for shine! Beer is also a clarifier. I have a video about how to create shinier hair if you’ll look thru them. Try the one for long layered cut for longer hair. In any event, if you cut a few inches of your hair and want to make your own brush, just gather the hair you cut and band it together.
