Product Description

A niche is any tightly focused segment of a market, having specific appeal. For example rather than selling containers or even buckets, or even red buckets, you might specialise in selling SMALL red buckets. That would be your niche. And if anybody wanted a small red bucket, they would know to come to you, because you are the expert and have the best stock for that particular niche. Internet Marketing covers all the new marketing methods that have evolved online as the internet has expanded through all areas of our life. These include SEO (search engine optimisation), link building, article writing, email marketing, Adwords, YouTube marketing, Facebook marketing, list building and many other methods that are both black hat (illegal), grey hat (of dubious origin), and white hat (perfectly legal). A niche internet marketer has entrepreneurial qualities. They can spot a trend, and use their skills to quickly create a product and site to take advantage of the demand and monetise the opportunity. They may have tens of sites or hundreds of sites. Each site may be earning them only a modest income, but the sum of all the multiple streams of income add up to produce a significant cashflow running on auto-pilot for the most part.

From the Publisher

The internet has changed the way consumers consume. In his book “The Long Tail”, Chris Anderson explains how the internet has created a unique culture of endless choice, and unlimited demand. This has created a “Long Tail”, whereby it is no longer economically viable for the big conglomerates to chase the mega-hits (Top 10 music, best selling books, this seasons must-have product), as the bulk of sales has shifted to items that may only sell one unit a month. It is the sum of all these sales that for the first time in history has surpassed the high volume items and created a whole new market for niche products. Niche Internet Marketing aims to give you the skills required to recognise, research and take advantage of opportunities as they arise. You are about to learn how to quickly and effortlessly create websites for your niche markets and monetise them before setting and moving onto your next opportunity. Over time, you will build up a network of niche product and service offerings that will bring you multiple streams of income providing extra income and / or freeing up your time. With your extra income, you may buy the car you always wanted, or the house of your dreams. You might take an extra vacation every year. You may wish to escape the 9-5 all together and like Tim Ferriss the author of “The 4-Hour Work Week” join the new rich and take mini-retirements. Niche Internet Marketing can help you achieve those dreams.

The other reviewers must have been paid to leave reviews, because this book is terrible. There are typos everywhere, including on the back cover. The formatting is way off, with random spacing and weird line breaks. It looks like someone typed it on their computer and then hired a print on demand company to print it and never proofed it. This lack of attention to detail translates into the content, as well, as it reads like a bunch of unfinished notes instead of actual strategies you can use. Seriously, the last 10 chapters are nothing more than bulleted lists of unfinished thoughts that provide absolutely no guidance on how to accomplish anything. Stay away from this book if you value your time and money. Instead, look at the 4 Hour Workweek and Master Internet Marketing.

This kind of book is long overdue. With all the hype and scam artists in the internet marketing industry, it’s refreshing to find somebody who tells it how it is, and backs it up with real life examples and case studies. I have some experience in IM, but still found myself thinkging “Why didn’t I think of that?” Leigh has a great way with words and can distil a complex topic or technique down into simple, easy to follow steps that anybody can follow. I am looking forward to Leigh’s other books planned for release, as I found Niche Internet Marketing a thoroughly enjoyable read and would recommend it to anybody starting out online, or experienced internet marketers who want a fresh new perspective.

    Amazon Verified Purchase(What’s this?)

It appears to me Leigh Burke did his research and gathered the best of other niche internet marketing books and paraphrased them into a nice little Internet marketing book of his own. If you have read any of Rosalind Gardner’s books you will see the similarities. Although there is nothing new or enlightening in this rehash of niche marketing, Burke does put it together in an easy to read, well covered, condensed topic. It’s a good read if it’s your first niche marketing book and want to learn about the subject and the steps. However, If you are already in the game and have read other older successful marketer’s books, then you’ll find yourself wet fingering your way quickly to the last page.
